Lose Weight and Build Muscle: Is It Even a Possibility?

This is a question that has been asked too many times to mention. Yes, this is the No.1 question of all people who are into weight training and muscle building. In fact, most people who go to gyms and work out would really want to lose weight and build muscle, especially the men. Most people want to lose all the excess fat they have in their bodies and build more muscle mass. Why? Because muscle mass is not only healthy, it also give one a fitter, more appealing body. So is it really possible to lose weight and build muscle at the same time?
The simple answer to that question is no. It is not possible to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. Why? Because, to lose weight you will have to eat a fewer- calorie diet, do a lot of cardio exercises and lift weights. And to gain muscle you will have to eat a higher- calorie diet, do little or no cardio exercises and lift weights. Yes, the two things are exact opposites! So doing them at one and the same time is impossible.
But don't lose heart. If not at the same time, it is possible to lose weight and build muscle in phases. Yes, that's right! During the first phase of your routine, you can "bulk up", so to say, and build muscle. This will work out best if you do it in the winter months. In the next phase, you lose the excess fat. This will be done best in the summer months. So at the end of a full year of this routine, you will have lost all the excess weight you wanted and built muscle as well!
It is a good idea if you took the help of an expert to help you do this.
